Be Aware of Crime and Water

I have travelled to many Mexican cities and have learned to use common sense. It has kept me out of serious trouble. While in Cancun I have rarely felt suspicious of anyone or any situation. I personally feel a lot safer in Mexico than here in the USA.

It should be noted that Mexican crime - taxi robberies, kidnappings, and highway carjackings, are on the rise. Most crime has been concentrated in Mexico City, but isolated incidents have also occurred in Cancun.

In the USA it is called "Montezuma's Revenge" - persistent diarrhea sometimes followed by fever, nausea, and vomitting. Make sure when you are in Cancun or any city in Mexico for that matter, drink bottled water. If you do come down with this ailment nothing beats Pepto Bismol or Imodium both readily available in Mexico. Stay safe. customer service sky

Spring Break in Cancun

Goodtimes and Danger

During Spring Break is when it turns wild. It is when Cancun lights up at night There is a lot of dancing, drinking and having the time of your life.

IF you are with a group of friends out to party, have one person to remain sober. The reason for this is that, especially during Spring Break, there are groups of men out to take advantage of young drunk girls. The one who is sober can see what is going on and call for help.

There these party boats that you can ride. Right when you enter the boat, the staff hand you this pink drink with some kind of liquor in it. The purpose of this is to get you drunk and who knows what can happen to you. Stay safe.

Cancun - shop till you drop

Serious Cancun malls for serious shopping

Cancun cannot be visited without doing some serious shopping. I am going to talk about several shops, malls and duty-free shops. The largest Cancun duty-free shop is UltraFemme. It has a wide variety of imported cosmetics, perfumes, and fine jewelry and watches. Handicrafts are available at several open-air markets.

Cancun’s malls are not as sophisticated as those in the US, but they are all air-conditioned and sleek. They offer everything from fine crystal and silver to designer clothing and decorative objects, along with numerous restaurants and clubs. Malls in Cancun are usually open daily from 10am to 10pm.

The Plaza Kukulcan has a wide selection of more than 300 shops, restaurants and entertainment. It has a bank named Banco Serfin, OK Maguey Cantina Grill, a theater with U.S. movies, an Internet access kiosk, several craft stores, a liquor store, a leather goods store, and a store specializing in silver from Taxco.

The Plaza Flamingo has a Bancrecer, Subway, and La Casa del Habano which sells Cuban cigars. The Plaza Caracol has Cartier jewelry, Guess, Waterford Crystal, Senor Frog’s clothing, Samsonite luggage, and La Fisheria restaurant. Maya Fair Plaza is one of the oldest malls. The center has open-air restaurants/bars, also has an Outback Steakhouse and Sanborn’s Café, and several stores that sell silver, leather, and crafts.

Cancun fun and enjoyment

Cancun - you never want to leave

What I want to talk about now is that Cancun is different during the day than at night. So during the day go ahead and send the day at Isla Mujeres. There you will find tranquility and relaxation. To get to the island there is a ferry from Cancun to the island. In Isla Mujeres you will find beautiful beaches with white sand and clear blue waters.

The island is for those that truly want to get away from it all. Just go and get a suntan and take a trip over to the open-air cafes. Take a stroll down the street were you will find vendors selling souvenirs. It all seems so nice but if you are looking for more action, Cancun at night is the place to be for the club and music scene. The clubs offer sizzling music.

You feel like you never want to leave because it is so much fun and enjoyment. Generally the clubs on the weekends have long line to get in and enjoy the fun. There is a tour available to bypass all that. Take the Bar Leaping Tour. The cost for the tour is $49 which you are taken by air conditioned bus to bar to club. Sampling the best of Cancun’s nightlife.

Cancun is the ultimate vacation spot

Beaches, night life, fishing and much more

Cancun is the spot to travel to, family vacation or to just have fun and relax. You see Cancun is the reason people travel to Mexico. There is so much you can see and do in Cancun. First off there is the beaches, watersports and boat tours. The beaches have white sand, beautiful turquoise waters and the open sky.

Watersports include sailing, jet skiing, windsurfing and water skiing. You can also do some deep-sea fishing or scuba and snorkeling. If a boating tour catches you attention then get excited! Visit a beautiful named Isla Mujeres. It is one of the best ways to spend the day relaxing from Cancun. What I like to do is just relax by the swimming pool and look out towards the ocean.

If it is too sunny, I go to pool side bar and have me a couple drinks. When I went there last I would wake up out of bed early and just go walking along the beach. Me alone with my thoughts. I feel Cancun has it all. Once I went to Cancun with a cousin of mine. All we did was eat and eat. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner. You see eating is one of my favorite pastimes. Eating in Cancun was a blast because there was such variety.
